About the Instruments

7 Hills plays plays in the style of Europe’s 16th century wind bands, commonly referred to as the Alta Capella. The ensemble features various combinations of sackbuts, shawms, dulcians, and cornetto. This instrumentation is well-suited for the beautiful polyphonic works of the Renaissance composers.
